In the game you have your own planet, where you can create buildings that will help you to improve your fleet, collects materials, create units and spaceships (named “explorers” in the game). For survival, humanity has to fight against aliens, space creatures and other humans for control of the galaxy. In order for you to perform these actions you need to collect three particular resources, Parsteel, tritanium and dilithium. You can get these materials by winning battles, completing quests or producing them at your base.


What makes this game amazing is the variety of activities you can do, unlike many other mobile games it’s not repetitive and you can always do something new. You can also join alliances, interact with other players and exchange resources. You are able to make improvements to your spaceships, buy new ones, recruit officers and commanders which also have the ability to level up and learn new skills. However, we wanted to find out if there’s a way to get Latinum without having to pay for it so we tried the hacks we could find online.


The first hack we tried was the typical form-like interface that you have to fill with all your in-game details. We were asked to type down our username and choose between Android and iOS, naturally we tried both. Then the app asks us how much Latinum we want to transfer to our account, which, at first glance is somewhat suspicious since normally we would choose the biggest amount possible so there’s no need to ask.


Taking this suspicion aside, we continued and chose 1000 Latinum. After this we are asked to do a “human verification” which consists on downloading two games and playing them. We followed all the steps but no matter how many times we tried, the Latinum coins never arrived to our account balance. We then came to the conclusion that this page is fake.


The platform tries to look “reliable” showing a comment section supposedly linked to Facebook, but this is no other than a copy of the Facebook interface with fake users. You can also find some YouTube videos claiming these sites work, but as you keep looking and reading the comments, you realize this is just a trick these Star Trek Fleet Command Cheats use to generate traffic rather than actually providing a real hack.


We didn’t give up here, we kept looking for hacks and came across with several of them. Some of them needed to be downloaded, but when we pressed “download” we realized it was just one of these never ending pages that scammers use to monetize publicity.
